FM RUNNER GIRL: After having my kids I wanted to get back into shape and stay in shape. I wanted to show my children that women can be athletes too, at ANY age! I'm passionate about my running and work-outs. It's a commitment, but I'm committed to leading a healthy active lifestyle. I want to be THAT kind of role model for my children and women of all ages, shape and size. Small towns don't come equipped with big gyms or fancy equipment, that's the great thing about running ...you don't need it, just a comfortable pair of running shoes. Alone or with a friend, I can't remember a day when I didn't look forward to my run.I have met and been inspired by so many amazing competitors both through training and on the course. I might not be the fastest runner on the track or even a close second, but every time I bring home another 'Finisher' medal my little boy shows it off to his friends, that makes me feel like I just won the most important race. I think my children are proud of their mom and I hope to be able to continue to teach them about internal strength, dedication, hard work, and achievement.
